Welcome to PEERRS, the University of Michigan's Program for Education and Evaluation in Responsible Research and Scholarship
Certification Requirements
- Determine your requirements: The table below lists roles and the PEERRS modules required for each role. You may have more than one role, especially if you are involved in human subject research or research with animals. Read the descriptions carefully to determine your requirements. Suggestion: Print this page and mark your required modules so it will be easier for you to select courses from within My LINC.
- Register for a module (You will only be able to register for one module at a time.): If you have a UM uniqname, please select “Register as UM.” If you do not have a UM uniqname, you will need an active “Friend” account. Please select “Returning Friend” to register if you have completed PEERRS in the past. Please select “New Friend” to register if you are new to PEERRS or no longer have a friend account. If the module doesn't launch directly, you may select the module from the PEERRS catalog. (see Registering for a Module in My LINC)
- Certify: The certification tests are part of the modules. You are required to read through ALL OF THE PAGES AND PASS THE TEST in order to be certified in a module. The modules will open in a separate browser window or tab. Please leave this window or tab open for reference.
